  2. Indonesia is one of countries that consists of many islands and many provinces. Each province has a unique traditional foods, especially in Bondowoso-East Java. one of the example East java traditional foods that I like is tape bondowoso.
as we know that Bondowoso is well known as Tape City (Kota Tape). “Tape” is a traditional food from Bondowoso, and it is spread in almost every area in Bondowoso district. This food can be considered as nutritious snack. Besides Tape is having taste between sweet and sour and it made from slightly fermented cassava. Tape Bondowoso has a special sweet taste and cannot be imitated by other towns. By consuming Tape, the need of B1 vitamin in our body can be fulfilled, and so our body will be fresh. According to doctor, B1 vitamin is very important for women who have just given birth to restore the new energy and also to produce the milk. It is also good for curing the laziness, hemorrhoids, and also for curing pimples. There are many types of tape produced in Bondowoso, for example: Tape Manis at Wringin village; Tape Manalagi at RE. Martadinata Street; Tape 31 and Tape 82 at PB Sudirman Street.
In conclusion, tape is a delicious food that consist of vitamin B1 which is needed by our body, so our body will be fresh. in other words, tape is an important food for women. women can consume it everyday because it can help you to restore the new energy and also to produce the milk.

  3. My traditional favorite food is Gado-gado. I like this food because of the taste is very delicious. Gado-gado is part of a wide range of Indonesian dressing & salad combinations. Gado-gado is a food which basic ingredients are vegetables. The vegetables are ussualy water lettuce, long bean, cucumber, tauge, paria, cabbage. After that all the vegetable will mix with peanut sauce. At the top of the vegetables added many kinds “accessoris” like fried tofu, fried soyabean, fried or boiled potatoes, and boled egg. At the end added with fried onion.Javanesse people ussualy eat gado-gado without rice and the substitution of rice is lontong. I think gado-gado is healthy food, because the most inggredient is vegetable. As we know vegetable for fulfilling vitamin, mineral, and enzyme, that play an important role for our body needs. With nutrition and fiber on the vegetables and fruit, these make us keep healthy and able to prevent various diseases, such as coronary heart, diabetes mellitus, and digestive problems. So if you want deliciuos food that keep our body healthy ,gado-gado will be a good choice.trust me it's work! :-)

  5. MY FAVORITE INDONESIAN TRADITIONAL FOOD

My favorite traditional food from Indonesia is Sate. In my opinion, Sate is very delicious dish. It needs several steps to dish up.It doesn't need many condiments. Indonesia has many kinds of sate. A popular Indonesian dish is Sate. Some of areas in Indonesia determine sate as their traditional food.

I think that Sate is a delicious traditional food. It needs several steps to dish up. Trips of meat are marinated then threaded onto wooden skewers and grilled over a fire. It is served with peanut sauce, ketupat and onion slice. A delicious taste of Sate comes from the fusion between roast meats and peanut sauce. The unique characteristic of Sate coming from Madura, because It uses thinner chunks of meat than other variants. It is eaten with rice or rice cakes wrapped in banana leaves. Slice shallot and sambal are often served as condiments.

Indonesia has many kinds of sate such as Sate buntel, Sate lilit, Sate ampet, Sate kambing, Sate kerbau, Sate kelinci, Sate belut, Sate kuda, Sate madura, etc.

A popular Indonesian dish is Sate. There three areas in Indonesia that determine Sate as their traditional food. This area are Java, Sumatra and Madura. Sate is easy to find because there are many restaurants keep Sate on their menu.

It can be concluded that Sate is a populer traditional food in Java, Sumatra, and Madura. It has delicious taste and it is easy to find in many restautants in Indonesia.

  6. My favorite Indonesian traditional food is Rujak Cingur. Rujak cingur is one of the traditional food from East Java, especially Surabaya. This food is called rujak cingur because this food use beef snout (cingur) as one of the ingredients. It sounds disgusting right?! (Please don't imagine the real :-)...) but don't worry about the taste, the taste is very delicious and tasty.
In my hometown, this food usually consists of several kinds of sliced vegetables such as sprouts / bean sprouts , kale and bean and with addition of lontong, tofu, tempe, and cucumber. All the materials are mixed with a special sauce made from petis shrimp, boiled water, sugar/brown sugar, chili pepper, fried peanuts, salt and thinly sliced green beans(bananas klutuk). All the sauces/spices mixed with uleg. it also served with white cracker(krupuk), but sometimes with Mlinjo craker (Krupuk mlinjo).I'd prefer krupuk mlinjo as the topping because it is more tasty than the usual craker.
In Jember, I've found a place that serve rujak cingur with different taste. That place serves rujak cingur with sliced fruits like bengkoang, young mango, pineapple, and kedondong. The taste is more fresh and a little bit sour.
In conclusion, I like rujak cingur very much, I've never felt bored to eat rujak cingur although it has several kinds of ingredients.

  7. Indonesia has many traditional dishes, the most famous of which is nasi goreng, sate, bakmi goreng, gudeg, rendang and many more. My favorite Indonesian traditional food is pecel. Pecel rice is one of the unique food in East Java. It's white rice topped with bean sprouts, green beans, spinach, kangkung or some leafy green vegetable, all covered with a delicious spicy peanut sauce. The sauce is used in pecel is similar to the sauce that used in Gado-gado. The taste is good when eaten with fried tempe and tahu. I really love it because it’s spicy, healthy and full of vegetables. It's also cheap and easy to find.

The variation of regional cuisine created by local Indonesian cultures itself and it influence from another countries. The variation of cuisine will reflect the cultural diversity in Indonesia.
In Indonesia there are many popular Indonesian traditional foods, such as Nasi Goreng, Gado-Gado, Sate, Soto, Nasi Pecel, Rujak, etc. My favorite Indonesian traditional food is Rujak. There are so many kinds of Rujak in East Java, for example; Rujak Cingur, Rujak Petis, Rujak Manis (Rujak Buah), Rujak Gobet, etc. It’s really tasty food I think, because it has a unique taste. This food cannot be found in other countries, because this food is only can found in Indonesia and from several kinds of Rujak (Indonesian Salad), only one that I like most, that is Rujak Cingur, because it have good taste and it is a traditional food that can easily found in the area of East Java, especially in its homeland Surabaya. Do you know, why this food is called Rujak Cingur, because in process ingredients used are petis shrimp and sliced Cingur (Cow’s mouth), and you know everyone that never eats it, they hard to imagine. Rujak Cingur usually also served with white cracker on a pincuk (banana leaf) or a plate and I would prefer the banana leaf because it’s more pleasure when we ate it on a pincuk (banana leaf).
In conclusion, I think Rujak Cingur is delicious and unique traditional food that I like, but it also unique in served and if you never eats this food you can try it, trust me, it’s really tasty food. Up to now, I’m still looking for, where a nice place to enjoy Rujak Cingur in Jember. If you know, please give me information about it. I’ll be there as soon as possible.

I like any healthy food whatever it tastes and looks like, expensive or cheap, packaged or unpackaged, those all are good food for me and I really thankful to God for the best food I eat everyday.
About Rujak, I like it but I forget when and where I ate rujak for last in Jember, so I cannot tell more about it. Nevertheless, I have one place for food that I often visit lately. The place is in Jl. Kalimantan near double way roundabout. It is a food dish of fried eggs, tofu, and vegetable with seasonings that is mixed together, that they call it “Tahu Telur or Telur Tahu”. I visit there once or twice in a day and now the sellers and I know each other because I have become a consistent good food costumer for them (pelanggan tetap).

  12. “Favorite food”
Generally people have only one favorite food. But, it doesn’t happen for me. I have not only one favorite food. Because, I do realize that I mad of every food that the main ingredient is catfish (LELE).
In my opinion, however catfish is cooked it is still delicious and has specific taste. Such as “pecel lele” ; the catfish is only fried or roasted and served with some vegetables complete with the terasi sauce. According to me it is very delicious, moreover if it is served in a mortar. The next is “pepes lele” ; in this case, the catfish is roasted. But, before roasting, it is wrapped with banana leaf. Catfish curry is the other kinds of food that the main ingredient is catfish. This food is different from both of previous food. In this case, the catfish is cooked with coconut milk.
Really, …I like catfish very much, however it is cooked. Fried catfish, roasted catfish, catfish curry, catfish “pepes”, and so on are my favorite food.

  13. Indonesia has many traditional foods. We can see that between one places to another in Indonesia have their own dishes and characteristic. The most favorite’s food that I like is empek-empek from Palembang. I never go to Palembang but, I familiar with this kind of food because of my mother always cook this kind of food for my family. There are two things when we are going to cook empek-empek

Empek-empek is identically with sauce and fried dough with the vegetables inside. If we are going to make the sauce make sure that the sauce is thin. The red color from the sauce comes from the chilly and red sugar that mix with fried onion and other flavor.
Basic thing when we make the fried dough with the vegetables inside is, we put the vegetables that we have chop into the dough and cover it then press it using mould. If we have difficulties to make it, we can change it using tahu isi (fried tofu with vegetables inside it) or ote-ote.

Lalapan Ayam goreng, Lalapan Lele, and so on. The important point is the sambal. The sambal must be very hot and little bit sweet. The rice must be hot too. That makes lalapan more yummy. Nyaaaammm…

  16. Indonesia is well known as one of country that has various culture, language, tourism place and traditional food. Many tourism like to go travelling to Indonesia and usually they hunt a traditional food from Indonesia such as gado-gado,pecel,satai rujak and etc. Talking about food is really interesting to discuss. In line with some of my friends and Miss.Fitri, my traditional favorite food is RUJAK. I like the original rujak without cingur and fruits. I like this food because rujak taste is reflect the original of traditional food that has strong ingredient. ,Beside that rujak is so fresh and spicy in my mouth and I like it (Rianti Cartwright Mode On…). Rujak is good for our health because it contains with some vegetables and it uses a fresh ingredient. If you eat a plate of rujak it can be refresh your mind from depression. Trust me!!!! LOLOLOLOL
Usually I buy rujak at Kalimantan street (In front of DPRD office), but I think it is very expansive for students like ours and the taste is like the other rujak. And finally my boyfriend suggest me to buy it in Karimata street,(in the first intersection of Semeru Living), I think it is better than the others and the price is very cheap, for about Rp.3.500,00. I can guarantee that you want more and more….ehmmmm Yummie…

  17. My favorite food is coconut chicken curry (opor ayam) because it is so delicious for me. Usually, it is served in Idul Fitri Celebration and served with ketupat. sometimes, I add some crackers when I eat coconut chicken curry. ehmmm,,,,I think it is yummy..!! my mother often cook it for me and I always help her in order to I can cook my favorite food by myself.I think coconut chicken curry is not too health for our body because it contain chicken and coconut milk very much. As we know coconut milk contain a lot of fat. it can be attack our health, it means cholesterol but we can prevent it if we consume many vegetables. So don;t worry about it, we can taste this food. So I think many people like this food especially if it is served in Idul Fitri Celebration.

  18. Tajin Palappa
Tajin palappa is one of traditional foods from my hometown. This food is similar with chicken porridge but the things that are put on the porridge are different. Every maduriese people know about this food and most of them like it. This food usually eats as a lunch or breakfast. You can find some vegetables on this food, that’s the positive thing. Vegetables are good for our health.
Tajin palappa is different with the other porridge. The porridge in tajin palappa is covered with vegetables and peanut souse. The vegetables that are used in tajin palappa are sprouts, kangkung, or batata leaf. Peanut souse that is uses are the same with souse in rujak. If you like something hot you can ask the seller to add more chili. The last think that make it perfect is springkle krupuk as a garnish.
In recent years many tajin palappa quit sell that food. I don’t know the reason maybe the teenagers prefer to buy modern and new food rather than traditional food. If that happened to all teenagers maybe no one knows about traditional food. That’s why we as teenagers must make traditional food still exist.

  19. Sate or Satay
Sate or Satay are including to the one of the famous traditional food from Indonesia, especially in Java and Sumatera. Sate consists of sliced meat. The raw materials of sate are goat, chicken, beef, or fish. Sate is cooking with burning process of meat. Sate is served with the peanut sauce. It is not called sate anymore when it separated with peanut sauce. The nice taste of sate makes it popular and it is available in almost place in Indonesia.
Even there are many kinds of sate, “sate kambing” is my favorite. It is made from goat meat that usually called sate Madura. Since I was a child my family I like to eat sate. We have favorite restaurant named “Rumah Makan Ratna” that is located in Wirolegi. We always go there when we want to eat sate. My family always order a big number of sate madura in this restaurant when we have a celebration.
Sate madura in this restaurant have unique delicious taste. It ever got a reward as the best sate in East Java. There is no restaurant that can replace it until now. I think it is still the best in jember. It is because, this restaurant defend the taste of the sate. Let us try this Sate. You will need to spend fifteen thousand rupiah per portion but you will not disappoint.
    Thanks…..
